Update!

I decided to post an update of where I've been since I've been MIA for some time. This past week I've moved 4 hours away from home to school. It has been a HUGE adjustment. Being away from home and my family is hard and took time to get used to. For the most part I love being here and am so happy I made the decision to come out here and pursue my dreams. I've been really busy with unpacking, settling in, and my first week of school I haven't had any time to post to the blog. That doesn't mean I'm going to stop posting entirely, in fact I plan to post regularly. Don't hold me to that because things do happen but for the most part my posts will be up. The only major change that will occur is the lack of Sunday Savings posts that will be up. There may be some here or there or none at all I'm not quite sure yet. The reason for this is I won't be doing the same amount of shopping I do at home. I plan to come up with another weekly series, what it will be about I'm not sure yet but if anyone of you guys have any recommendations I'm open to them!

There's an update of what's been going on with me, more posts are coming soon !

Until next time, xoxo

Glitter Initial! - Dorm Wall Decor!

Here's the final piece in the dorm wall decor series, it's a glittery initial.

What you'll need:
1. Pencil
2. Paintbrush
3. Modpodge
4. Glitter

What to do:
First start by picking what letter you would like to use and the font. Trace or freehand the letter onto your canvas(I had my sister help me with this part since she's the artist out of us two lol)
Here's how it looked after the free hand was done.
Next, dip your paintbrush into the modpodge and paint the letter with it. Be careful not  to paint outside of the lines since the glitter will go anywhere the glue goes. Once you have your whole letter covered sprinkle the glitter on the canvas. Once you've done that shake off any excess glitter and go over any missing spots with more mod podge and glitter till you feel satisfied.
Here's the finished product! I love how this came out and how simple it looks.

I hope everyone enjoyed this series, I know I had a lot of fun making these!

Until next time, xoxo

Victoria's Secret Outlet Haul!

Yesterday I visited an Outlet mall and although I didn't plan to buy any body care items I ran into VS and couldn't turn away. There were so many great sales in there and I definitely took advantage of them.

Here's an overview of what I got:

The first two things I got were 2 pairs of shorts. I got these basically to wear as pajamas or to workout. These are originally priced at $22.95 but I got them for $7.00 each!

Next thing I picked up is a PINK Pretty & Pure body lotion. I was so so excited to see this for 2 reasons: 1. This scent is my favorite + it has been discontinued and 2. ALL full size pink body lotions were 50% off! This body lotion is normally $15.00 and I got it for only $7.50!
I also picked up a PINK Hair & Body Spray in the scent Fresh & Clean. I'll only use this as a hair spray since I have way too much body sprays already. This was also 50% off, the original price was $18.00 but I got it for $9.00.
Next, I picked up a body lotion for only $5.00! A lot of their original VS body lotions were only $5.00 so I picked one up in the scent Love Rush.
The best sale they had, in my opinion was all perfumes, any size were 50% off! I grabbed two perfumes. I picked up Very Sexy Touch and Victoria's Secret Angel Dream. Both of these perfumes were $45.00 each but I got them for $22.50!

That wraps up my Victoria's Secret Haul! I hope everyone enjoyed reading!

Until next time, xoxo

Latest Pick Up!

I decided I'd quickly share my latest pick up with you guys. I did a little shopping on moddeals.com I mentioned this website in one of my earlier posts. It's really great and lately they've stepped their game up with their merchandise. I purchase 2 bags from there and they were only $9.99! I've been eyeing those structured tote bags that have been out in stores but never found one that really stole my heart. I seriously fell in love with these and the price made it even better!

Here's what they look like:

I think these are so cute! I thought it was really cool that they came with a longer strap to clip to the bag. I love that they're a good size to fit a lot of things in but not oversized like most of my bags. I can't wait to wear these! Moddeals.com has a huge selection of bags and they're all $9.99! Go check it out if you're looking for a bag at the moment.

There's my latest pick up. I hope everyone enjoyed reading!

Until next time, xoxo!

The next nail polish is another great shade for fall and winter. It's another Rimmel London Polish but this one is in the shade Steel Grey. It was also $1.99

The last Nailpolish I got is a Sinful Color polish. As you guys may know I love love love this brand. They're one of my favorite nailpolish brands. This shade is called Nirvana and I'm in love with it! Can't wait to try it out. This one was also $1.99

August Glam Bag!

Here's an overview of what came in the bag:
I was pretty satisfied with everything I got this month + the bag is so cute!

The first thing I got is a Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco Oil Treatment. This smells so good and I can't wait to try it out. This is a sample size but unfortunately I wasn't able to find a price for a regular size bottle.
Next is a Hikari lip gloss in the color Merlot. I love the packaging of this lip gloss I think it's so sleek and classy. The color is also really pretty, perfect for fall. I did notice while swatching and even applying it that the formula is extremely gooey for lack of a better word. The gloss tugged on my lips while applying it. Other than that I really like this color it's also very pigmented. This is a full size and it retails for $13.00.

Here's a swatch
Next up is an eyeshadow primer from the brand Jesse's Girl. I've heard of this brand before and do have a brush from them. This a teeny tiny sample which I wasn't extremely happy about but I don't actually own any eyeshadow primers as crazy as that may sound so I was excited to see this in my bag. The full size retails for $5.99.
Next is an eye liner from the brand Doucce. I've received a lipstick from this brand in one of my boxycharm boxes. I'm not a huge fan of eye makeup so I'm not sure wether I'll keep this or pass it on. Nonetheless it seems like a nice simple black eyeliner. This is a full size and it retails for $20.00
Here's a swatch.
Last item I got is an Ofra Lip Liner. I received an Ofra Lip Liner in a previous boxycharm box but I love the color I got in my ipsy bag so much more! I definitely have a couple of lipsticks that would go perfect with this and it glides on so smoothly! This is a full size and retails for $13.00

Here's a swatch.

There's everything I got in this month's glam bag. I hope you all enjoyed reading.

Until next time, xoxo

Inspirational! - Dorm Wall Decor!

Here's another piece of dorm wall decor! This time it's something with an inspirational saying.

Here's what you'll need:
1. White canvas
2. Tape
3. Mod Podge
4. Paint(not pictured)
5. Paint brush
5. Letters of any kind
(Disregard the glitter)

What you'll need to do:
This is such a simple piece there's only a few steps! First you'll need to choose a saying or quote, then you'll need to arrange the words on the canvas. The letters I have are adhesive however I still applied mod Podge to each of them just to make sure they were secure.
Next I added tape to the canvas to add a stencil effect for the paint
I know the tape is clear and may be hard to see but I just made a stripe stencil. Next I painted the stripe with paint
After the paint dried I carefully peeled off the tape and revealed my stripes

Here's the finished product(without flash)
(With flash)

There's my inspirational wall decor piece, I hope everyone enjoyed reading!

Until next time, xoxo

Sunday Savings!

I only have one item for this week's Sunday Savings but I'm so obsessed with it!
I was at a store called Lot-Less the other day and ran into these decent sized makeup bags. The color scheme for all of them were gold, white, & black. As you guys may know I've been obsessed with gold lately so I had to pick it up! I love the little decal in front that says "Hello Gorgeous" I think that's the cutest touch. It was only $5.00! I might just go back and pick up one more. I feel like I can fit so much into this bag and not only makeup related items, I love it.

There's this week's Sunday Savings, I hope everyone enjoyed reading!

Until next time, xoxo

Sparkly Ombré! - Dorm Wall Decor!

Staying on the canvas art category, today I'm going to show you guys how to make a sparkly ombré piece that's perfect for any room theme

Here's what you'll need:
1. Canvas
2. Paint(any color + White)
3. Paint brush
4. Mod Podge(Not pictured & optional)
5. Glitter(optional)

How to:
Put some of your darkest color paint on a cardboard, paper, anything to hold your paint. Simply dip your paint brush into the paint and make one continuous stroke on the canvas starting from the top to the bottom. Do not redip your paintbrush let the color naturally fade out. For the next stroke add a drop or 2 of white paint and mix the color. This will give you a lighter shade. Do the same stroke technique. Apply one or two more drops of white and repeat the process and so on and so forth. Once you've completed the strokes you will end up with something like this
If you're content with it just like this then you're finished! However if you think it looks a little plain like I did you can spice it up. This is where the glitter and mod podge come in. Once your paint has completely dried, dip your paint brush into the mod podge and make the same stroke you made with the paint. Start from the top and finish at the bottom letting your mod podge fade out. Dip your paint brush into the glitter and go over the mod podge using the same stroke technique. If you want a more dramatic effect you can do 2 or 3 more strokes of glitter on top of each one you do. This will make an ombré effect with the glitter.
Here's the finished product! Left is with flash, right is without.

I hope everyone enjoyed reading!

P.S. Don't be afraid to ask for clarification on any of the steps!

Until next time, xoxo

Stencil Heaven! - Dorm Wall Decor!

Yesterday I showed you guys how to make wall art with kisses. Today I'm going to show you how to make beautiful canvas wall art involving one stencil!
Here's my second piece of dorm wall decor. I had soo much fun making this and it was so easy!

What you'll need:
1. Paint(any colors you choose)
2. Canvas
3. Stencil
4. Any type of sponge paint brush

All you'll have to do is place the stencil down wherever you want it, dip your paint brush in the paint and try not to take too much paint as that will make the end result look sloppy. Dab the paint on the stencil and try to cover every white spot you see. Once you feel like the whole stencil is covered enough carefully lift it off of the canvas and there you go! Your painting is on the canvas.
It's okay if you make some minor mistakes, clearly I made some as you can see.

There's today's art piece I hope everyone enjoyed reading and will give it a try! P.S. I got all my materials at Michaels.

Until next time, xoxo

Kiss it up! - Dorm Wall Decor!

I'll be starting a mini series on DIY Dorm Wall Decor. Since I'll be dorming I'll want my room to feel at least a little homey, so what better way than to add some DIY wall decor to spice up, brighten, and personalize my room. The first piece I made is so so easy! Here's what you'll need:
1. Picture Frame(I got mine at Deals for $3)
2. White paper
3. Your favorite lipsticks!
After you gathered all your materials all you have to do is apply the lipstick and kiss the paper! It's really that easy. You can choose to kiss the paper in rows, make an ombré effect, overlap kisses, or just go crazy.

Here's the finished product! Iove how it came out! It's okay if you mess up on a kiss or two, it makes for a prettier effect in my opinion.

Tip: Reapply your lipstick after every kiss for a vibrant color effect.

There's my first dorm wall decor piece, hope everyone enjoyed reading!

Until next time, xoxo
